It gives the volume uniqueness and prestige and guarantees resistance to wear. The signatures are first sewn together using a thread made of cotton, linen, hemp, synthetic or even silk; they are then glued to the spine and gauzed to further improve strength. Thanks to the tenacity of this binding, the inner paper can be up to 200 grammage for high-quality publications. The offset printing technique guarantees high print quality in the details.
